Meet Frank (aka Me)

I published my first book – a collection of short stories about hockey – when I was 24.

Like any kid who’s ever dreamed a dream, I was ecstatic. I’d devoted my teenage years to crafting personal essays and slaving over earnestly obscure poems.

Now, somehow, I’d managed to put together a whole book. I was finally a “real” writer.

It felt glorious, and I could only imagine where my writing career would take me next.

And then I didn’t write anything else – apart from work emails and grad school essays – for the next 12 years.

I didn’t plan to take a break from writing. It just happened naturally. My dreams were interrupted by a move, then by a new job, then a new baby (and then another, and then another), etc. Before I knew it, years had slipped past, apparently taking my creativity with them.

You know that guy who played football in high school and now sells insurance? That’s how I felt. As if writing was something I did once, back before I had to embrace “real” life.

Thankfully, that’s not how my writing story ends.

Sorry to leave you on a cliffhanger, but I have to stop there. Stay tuned for updates!

In 2021 I founded Work with Words. Under this umbrella, I publish resources for writers and provide an array of book development services. Note: I’m not a publisher. However, I can help you craft a beautiful, compelling manuscript that will capture the attention of publishers and readers alike.
